About the Euro Tissue Bank

The Euro Tissue Bank (ETB) is the first Dutch multi tissuebank. The Euro Tissue Bank is an effective and innovative tissue bank that operates (inter)nationally in order to meet the (potential) need for human donor tissue and its related products.

The Euro Tissue Bank consists of three divisions:

The Euro Tissue Bank came into effect as the Corneabank Amsterdam (CBA) and the Euro Skin Bank (ESB) merged in Octobre 2008. The Euro Tissue Bank is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation.

In addition to the activities performed within the divisions, the Euro Tissue Bank aims to contribute to the whole field of tissue donation activity in the Netherlands. This is done in co-operation with other Dutch tissue banks (Amnitrans Eyebank Rotterdam, BISLIFE, Hartkleppenbank Rotterdam) and the Nederlandse Transplantatie Stichting (NTS).

Tissue Donation

Tissue donation can directly influence the life of patients. More tissue donations means more lives that can be improved.

In the Netherlands you can register if you want to be a tissue donor (or not) on the Ja or Nee-website. This will take away the uncertainty for your next of kin. Otherwise they will be the ones who have to decide it for you.

Avoid uncertainty and register on  Ja of Nee (Dutch website).
